..as Exodus Boxing Promotions manager and trainer Anthony Mwamba says preparations for the April 6 boxing bonanza are on course

MORALE in the Exodus Boxing Promotions camp is high ahead of the boxing tournament slated for April 6 at the Government Complex in Lusaka.

A check at the gym by the Sun sports found all the boxers in high spirit ahead and the bouts.

Female Alice Mbewe said in an interview that she was ready for her fight against Kudakwashe Nyagura from Zimbabwe in a Super Flyweight World International Boxing Association (WIBA) title bout.

Mbewe said her fans should expect nothing but a victory from her.

“I have been training hard for this fight and I am ready so my fans should expect a victory from me,” she said.

And Simon Ngoma who will be facing Israel Kamwamba of Zimbabwe in a lightweight international non-title fight also declared himself ready for the fight.

Meanwhile, Exodus Boxing manager and trainer Anthony Mwamba said preparations for the boxing bonanza were going on well.

Mwamba described all his boxers ready for their respective bouts.

Mwamba however appealed to sponsors to come on board and aid the promotion.

“We are keen to continue promoting this sport and taking it to higher levels but we need everyone’s support if we are to achieve our objective of making Zambia a household name in boxing,” he said.
