A notorious gang leader, known as Boika, has been arrested by police in Lusaka’s Misisi Compound in a joint operation with the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC).

Boika was wanted in connection with the maiming of two Misisi compound residents and several other criminal activities in the area.

The gang has been mounting an illegal road block on the main road leading to Misisi from  town.

The arrest follows complaints from residents whose homes have been invaded by thieves in the last one month.

The Sun Newspaper yesterday ran a story of a man. enock kapanga, whose toes and fingers were chopped off by the gang in an attack.

Lusaka province  police commissioner, Nelson Phiri confirmed the development in an interview.
