BAILIFFS SEIZE POSH VEHICLES FROM KELVIN SAMPA 

COURT bailiffs have seized two posh motor vehicles from former Kasama Central member of Parliament Kelvin Sampa in a matter he has lost in the Court of Appeal against the High Court's order for him to repay K1.4 million he got from a Tanzanian businessman and his company on the pretext of facilitating release of their beer laden trucks impounded by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).

FORMER Kasama Central member of Parliament Kelvin Sampa has lost his appeal application in the Court of Appeal against the High Court’s refusal to stay execution of its ruling in which he was ordered to refund a businessman of Tanzanian origin, Salehe Mbaruku Sengulo and his company Mbaruku Trading Limited for the money he extorted from them to facilitate settlement of a dispute they had with the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) over the importation of alcoholic goods into Zambia.

The new Director of Public Prosecutor (DPP) is usurping the courts’ powers by removing the immunity I was granted, former Konkola Copper Mines liquidator Milingo Lungu has said. Mr Lungu said that he was confused by the stance taken by the DPP, Mr Gilbert Phiri to lift his immunity which was granted to him when the matter was still in the courts of law.
