Three Constitutional Court judges have been suspended with immediate effect, following a recommendation from the Judicial Complaints Commission’s report presented to President Hakainde Hichilema.
State House Chief Communication Specialist Clayson Hamasaka announced that the suspended judges are Justice Anne Sitali, Justice Mungeni Mulenga, and Justice Palan Mulonda.
“President Hakainde Hichilema, acting on the recommendation from the Judicial Complaints Commission, has immediately suspended three judges of the Constitutional Court of Zambia,” Mr. Hamasaka stated.
He added that the suspension is in line with the President’s authority under Article 144 (3) of the Zambian Constitution.
