EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL OF ZAMBIA DISMISSES FAKE PAGE OFFERING LESSONS TO GCE STUDENTS

The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) has labeled as fake a page using ECZ’s profile to offer lessons to GCE students. In an exclusive interview with Zambia Reports, ECZ Public Relations Manager Nicholas Nkhuwa clarified that ECZ is not an educational institution and does not offer lessons, confirming that the page in question is fraudulent.

Nkhuwa emphasized that ECZ is known for providing reliable information, unlike the false pages pretending to be official. He also mentioned that steps have been taken to remove these pages, with ZICTA in communication with Meta to address the issue.

Nkhuwa warned that creating fake pages impersonating ECZ is a criminal act and a form of cybercrime that will not be tolerated. “We are warning those behind these fake pages to stop. This is damaging to our reputation and constitutes a serious cybercrime,” he stated.
