ZNS CAMP MEMBER LOSES LIFE IN ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

Osten Mumba, a resident of ZNS Camp in Choma, tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident that occurred on September 8, 2024, around 21:00 hours.

Mumba suffered head injuries, a suspected fracture in his left hand, and a cut on his forehead.

It is reported that he lost control of his Toyota Vesta due to excessive speed, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The accident took place off Great North Road, along Sibanyati Road, near a network tower in Choma.

Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, confirmed that Mumba was pronounced dead upon arrival at Choma General Hospital.

Also involved in the crash was 23-year-old Brian Jabasa, another resident of ZNS Camp.

Jabasa sustained chest pains, a headache, and a painful left shoulder. He is currently receiving treatment at Choma General Hospital.

The vehicle sustained significant damage, including a shattered windscreen and damage to both front fenders, the rear bumper, headlamps, and side mirrors.
