Lusaka, Tuesday, 10th September 2024 – The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) has indefinitely suspended the GCE Examination Centre Status for the following schools:
- Isoko GCE Centre (Code: 1765) in Mpulungu District, with results nullified for the entire centre, affecting 116 candidates;
- Mapunga GCE Centre (Code: 6190) in Mushindamo District, with results nullified for the entire centre, affecting 204 candidates;
- Kasapa Day Secondary GCE (Code: 6265) in Mushindamo District, with results nullified for the entire centre, affecting 204 candidates;
- Sefula GCE (Code: 8083) in Mongu District, with results nullified for the entire centre, affecting 653 candidates;
- Chitimukulu Secondary GCE (Code: 9047) in Lusaka District, with results nullified for the entire centre, affecting 1,318 candidates;
- Gesam Secondary GCE (Code: 9065) in Chilanga District, with results nullified for the entire centre, affecting 451 candidates;
- Bethlehem Secondary GCE (Code: 9991) in Chilanga District, with results nullified for the entire centre, affecting 1,725 candidates;
- Mukupa Kaoma Day Secondary GCE (Code: 1769) in Lunte District, with two papers nullified, affecting 100 candidates.
The ECZ strongly advises all Examination Centres to prevent examination malpractices before, during, and after examinations. Centres must comply with the Guidelines for the Administration and Management of Examinations in Zambia or risk losing their Centre Status.
Candidates should note that the above eight centres will not be permitted to hold examinations at this level until further notice. The ECZ will continue to take strict action, including nullifying results, against anyone involved in examination malpractices.
