The Zambia Police have detained Pauline Banda, the sister of Emmanuel Jay Banda, at Ibex Hill police station. This move is part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of the Petauke lawmaker, who went missing from Chipata Central Hospital three weeks ago under police surveillance.
Although police initially tried to arrest Ms. Banda at her home, she was not present. The authorities have placed a K2 million reward for information leading to Jay Jay Banda’s capture and prosecution.
Sources indicate that police were instructed to detain Ms. Banda to aid in the investigation into her brother’s disappearance.
