UPND CADRES ERECT STALLS NEAR LEVY HOSPITAL

By MILLENNNIUM REPORTER

United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres have continued to defy orders from the party leadership to desist from taking the law into their own hand by committing crimes such as erecting illegal market stalls.

The UPND cadres have now decided to take part of the Levy Mwanawasa Hospital land and have shared and erected their illegal market stalls as the hospital management watches.

A group of suspected UPND cadres have started constructing illegal stalls around the Levy Mwanawasa Hospital in the name of the ruling party.

A check by Millennium Radio News found a group of cadres calling itself UPND supporters constructing some structures around the hospital.

But Government has warned UPND cadres building illegal trading places around hospitals and other public places of demolition.

Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Mambo Hamaundu says the illegal structures being built around public places especially hospitals would be demolished without any compensation.

Mr Hamaundu says government stands by its policy of no illegal structures and that all such structures will be demolished irrespective of who the owners are.
