ACC officer threatened to shoot me – Amos Chanda

By SIMON MUNTEMBA

ONE of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) officers who raided and searched my house threatened to pull a gun on me, Amos Chanda has said.

Mr Chanda identified Mr Chris Siwakwi as an officer who not only threatened to shoot him but also assaulted his sister in-law.

He said this happened around 23:30 hours after the security wings concluded a search of his residence and that of his sister in-law.

“Sadly one of the officers Chris Siwakwi , assaulted my sister-in-law and threatened to pull a gun on me for preventing him from throwing the medication box on the floor,” Mr Chanda said.

Mr Chanda said the family has filed  a complaint of assault  with their search team leader.

However, when contacted for a comment, ACC spokesperson Queen Chibwe expressed ignorance about the matter.

Ms Chibwe said she had not received that information as she was out of town.
