Chieftainess Lukwesa Lwino of Mwense district in Luapula Province has vowed to be the first person to vote for President Edgar Chagwa Lungu on 12th August to set as a example to the people of the area.

The Traditional Leader said President Lungu has worked very hard to develop Mwense and Luapula province altogether.

She said President Edgar Lungu deserves to be re-elected on August 12 because of his commitment in uplifting the lives of Zambians.

“I will be the first one to vote for President Edgar Chagwa Lungu in this area. This will guide the people of Mwense on who to vote for,” she said.

“President Lungu has helped the people of Luapula province develop and hence deserves maximum votes from there.”

Her Royal Highness said the Patriotic Front government has placed the interest of the people on the core of their developmental agenda.

Speaking when the Forum for Democracy and Development Leader Edith Nawakwi paid a courtesy call on her, Chieftainess Lukwesa said the area has developed massively as a result of President Lungu’s quality leadership.

She further added that Patriotic Front Mwense Candidate Hon David Mabumba has been working hard in the area to mobilize votes for President Lungu.

The traditional leader has also vowed to Continue engaging Headmen in the area to mobilize votes for President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

Meanwhile, FDD Leader Edith Nawakwi said there is need to elect a leader committed to maintain the national heritage.
