Police in Solwezi have picked a body of a naked woman in toilet of a bar in Kyawama compound.
North-western province Commissioner of Police, Joel Njase, said the lifeless body of Edith kabinda 25, was discovered in a toilet at Pakyulu bar on Saturday around 08:00 hours.
He revealed that the suspected murder case occurred between Friday at around 19:00 hours and Saturday 08:00 hours at Pakyulu bar.
“The woman is said to have left home Friday and went to drink beer in Kyawama Compound and was discovered dead by Magrate Mutalemba who wanted to use the bathroom at 0800 hours,” he said.
Mr Njase said police visited the scene and found the deceased in the bathroom which is built for about 20 meters away from the bar laying facing up.
He added that the woman was completely naked with her clothes hanged on a small wire.
He said inspections were conducted, but that no injuries were observed except only little blood was seen in the nostrils.
“The body has since been deposited in Solwezi General Hospital mortuary awaiting for post mortem while an inquiry file has been opened,” he added.
