A new presentation of humanitarian, fashion, music and fitness awards have been announced in Zambia and organisers are now calling interested parties to submit their entries for possible nomination.
The Zikomo Awards come as one of the many awards that seek to recognise and appreciate outstanding individuals in Zambia.
These are new awards which are set to take place at a date soon to be announced. They have designed to award hard working Zambians in various categories including music, fashion, humanitarian works and fitness.
“The organisers of the Zikomo Awards in Zambia are calling on the general public to submit nominations ahead of the awards ceremony in Lusaka at a yet-to-be-announced date,” read a statement from Zikomo Awards website.
“Voting will be done by the Zambian public and across the continent via the Zikomo Awards official website(link is external).”
The nomination and voting criteria in each category will fully involve followers.
” The organisers will choose the four most-nominated individuals. Their names and pictures added to the website for voting. All four nominees in each category will be invited to attend the awards ceremony,” the statement read.
Nominating and voting is strictly done once per category. Individuals who nominate or vote more than once will be disqualified.
The deadline for nominations is 14 February.
“The main focus of this event is to reward, appreciate and recognise individuals and charity organisations who are helping the underprivileged in our community,” the Zikomo Awards website reads.
