Chisamba man arrested for incest

POLICE in Chisamba District in Central Province have arrested a 31-year-old man for incest.
Central Province Commissioner of Police, Chola Katanga, has confirmed the arrest to ZANIS in Kabwe in an interview this morning.
Mr Katanga identified the man of Railways Compound in Chisamba District who is alleged to have had carnal knowledge of his 13-year-old biological daughter.
Mr Katanga said reports indicate that the man had carnal knowledge of the minor several times at his house during the month of August, 2020.
He said the victim, a grade six pupil at a named school in the area, is two months pregnant.
Mr Katanga added that culprit was arrested after the matter was reported to police in the area by 31 year old Faith Nanga, the aunt to the juvenile.
Meanwhile, Police in Serenje District of Central Province have arrested a 21-year-old made for rape while his accomplice is on the run.
The Commissioner of Police confirmed.
Mr Katanga said the accused identified as Daniel Musonda together with his accomplice believed to be his brother pounced on their cousin, Jane Musonda aged 27, at her house on Monday morning around 02: 00 hours.
He named accomplice as Obert Musonda and added that police have since launched a manhunt.
He said the assailant attacked the victim who was in a drunken stupor in her house and tore her under wears and raped her.
“Brief facts are that the victim was sleeping in her house whilst drunk and the suspect, Obert Musonda, went to her house which has no lock and entered the house where he tore the under wears of the victim and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her,” Mr Katanga said.
Commissioner Katanga explained that when the victim shouted for help Daniel Musonda went and chased his brother in crime but in turn he also raped the victim and ran away.
“As she shouted for help, Daniel Musonda came to help and chased his brother Obert Musonda and in turn raped her also,” he said.
He said the matter was reported to the Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) which went and apprehended Daniel Musonda. ZANIS
