King K

in new single with Rich Bizzy

LUSAKA-based singer and dancer Joseph Kapyala Phiri famously known as‘ King K’ is expected to unleash a new song titled ‘Chinkamba’ featuring Rich Bizzy.

King K said in a statement that  the song was produced by ‘Bicko Bicko’ and  is addressing love. explained that the song encourages people in love to stick to each other both in good and bad times.

‘Chinkamba’ is a Bemba name for beans leaves. King K expressed hope that the song will receive the positive response from his fans just like the songs he has done in the past.

Also known for his anthem ‘Mungoma’, King K says he is happy that he is participating to making his fans happy regardless of the Covid-19 period the entire country is going through by providing entertainment.

The singer and dancer said he is happy that his talent of singing which comes way back from the time he was a Seventh Day Adventist choir member as well as a member of school choir both high and lower secondary school is growing.

Previously King K has done songs such as ‘Mungoma’ features Chris Bryan, Komboni which featured Dalisoul, Osamuitana hule featuring Bicko Bicko’.

He explains that he gets his inspiration from Congolese singer Fally Ipupa and locally Danny Kaya whose music portrays real life.

King K says his first release of ‘Mungoma’ in 2015 has since helped him get connected with both established and emerging artistes in pursuing his music career. 

The artiste has also hinted that his ‘Chinkamba ’song will be released on September 1, and will have its video also realeased before the end of the year.

He says that currently he was working on establishing a recording studio where he can raise some money for his music and that he had already purchased sound systems which he was also hiring out.

King K’s dream is to become an internationally acclaimed artiste with an impact through the songs he sings.
