Chapa not clinical officer – police

NOEL IYOMBWA writes
POLICE have denied reports in some sections of the media insinuating that footballer Dickson Chapa is working as a part-time medical practitioner at Sikanze Police Hospital.
Zambia police spokesperson Esther Katongo said she has noted with dismay continued articles in some sections of the media insinuating that Chapa, a footballer with NAPSA Stars, is working at the hospital.
She said Chapa had never worked at Sikanze Hospital either on full or part-time basis as alleged.
“We have noted with dismay the continued articles in various media insinuating that Dickson Chapa, a footballer with NAPSA Stars Football Club, is working as part-time medical practitioner at Sikanze Police Hospital.
“We wish to put it clear that the named footballer has never worked at Sikanze Hospital either as full time or part time clinical officer as alleged.
“The screening rooms depicted on ZNBC during his interview and the photos depicted in some daily newspapers, including the one in the Times of Zambia, in today’s edition number 18, 673 dated April, 23, 2020 are not for Sikanze Hospital,” she said.
She said at no time had Chapa practised at Sikanze Police Hospital as a clinical officer.
