THE Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) organized beach tournament at Chirundu’s Machembere Lodge last weekend was dominated by foreign teams from Zimbabwe and Botswana.
The finals played on Sunday in the ladies category was won by Zimbabwe while the gents category was also scooped by the same country after overcoming Botswana.
According to ZAVA, the next beach volleyball tour has been slated for Samfya next month and will be preceded by a recess of the ZAVA league to allow for the opening of the player transfer window.
Meanwhile the Midlands Volleyball league returns this weekend with the fixtures set for Chilanga’s Estates Court.
