ZAMBIA’S opponents in Wednesday’s Olympic qualifier match, Congo Brazzaville say they are wary of hit man Fashion Sakala.
Congo Brazzaville’s Under-23 coach Jean Ngoya said his side had taken note of Zambia’s number 10(Sakala) whom he said was a dangerous player.
The coach was speaking on arrival at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) yesterday ahead of the crucial Olympic qualifier to be played at the national Heroes Stadium tomorrow at 18.00 hours.
Ngoya said that his opponents had a very good team with some of its players plying their trade in Europe.
He described Zambia’s Sakala as a good player with a knack for goals having watched him score goals in his previous games.
“Zambia has some good players some of whom play in Europe, they have a very good player, last time the number 10 scored a goal,
“But we came here to play, we gonna play our football no more experiments , for me if I win this game it’s gonna be a bonus because Zambia are the favourites ,” Ngoya said.
Ngoya noted that despite Zambia being a better side than Congo Brazzaville his side were not intimidated.
He said he would use the game to build a future national team.
Meanwhile all the seven-foreign based Zambia Under-23 players arrived in Lusaka yesterday afternoon.
The European legion players led by trio Patson Daka , Sakala and Enock completed coach Bestone Championshi’s team .
The foreign players would be part of the Chambeshi-tutored side’s final training today.
