LIVINGSTONE TOLL PLAZA IN CASH INJECTION

ANDREW MUKOMA writes

@SunZambian

THE National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) has engaged National Pension Authority (NAPSA) to finance the completion of the Livingstone Toll Plaza on the Great North Road.

NRFA chief executive officer Wallace Mumba said this in Livingstone recently in an effort to resume works on the toll plaza that had slowed down due to financial constraints.

Mr Mumba said it was for that reason that NRFA had engaged NAPSA to help finance the project so that it could be completed as soon as possible.

He was explaining what had caused delays to complete the project which was started last year.

Mr Mumba said that once the project was completed, it would contribute to NRFA revenue base just like any other toll plaza in Zambia.

He also encouraged motorists to be supportive by paying the fees as road users.

The NRFA CEO was however happy with the response and support the agency was receiving from motorists.
