Conglese Rhumba maestro Fally Ipupa will next month date Mika Convention Centre in Lusaka for a summer music gig set for September 27th.
The artiste who recently performed at the Lusaka Agriculture and Commercial Show early this month makes a second appearance in Zambia this year due to popular demand.
Mika Convention Centre management working various sponsors say Fally’s return in September is also meant to give an opportunity to those that missed his show. Additionally, the show is meant to allow the artistes to come and showcase his latest offering in music and dance.
Fally has a tendency of pulling huge crowds and organisers feel the Convention Centre is ideal for a big show.
“We anticipate a huge crowd and our premises is ready for the challenge. We have a record of hosting very big events and we feel ready to handle this one,” said a Mika Convention Centre representative insisting that various local artistes are also being considered for the event.
Born Ipupa N’simba on December 14, 1977, Fally is mainly described as a Congolese singer-songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist and producer.
His music dates as far back as the late 90s. From 1999 until 2006, he was a member of Quartier Latin International, the music band formed in 1986 by legendary musician Koffi Olomidé.
