THE Zambia women national team is set for this afternoon’s Olympic qualifier against Zimbabwe to be played at the Nkoloma stadium.
The Bruce Mwape tutored side has lined up a strong side with two foreign-based players being a part of the team that has been in camp preparing for the game.
Captain Misozi Zulu and Rachael Kundananji who ply their trade in Kazakhstan for UEFA at BIIK Kyzhak joined camp last week.
Spain-based Barbara Banda has been ruled out of this afternoon’s encounter due to injury.
Winner over two legs will face either South Africa or Botswana in the next stage, with one of Gabon, Ghana, Malawi or Kenya waiting after that.
Only one team from Africa will automatically qualify for the Olympics this year, with another facing a play-off against a South American side Chile to also book their berth.
Zimbabwe arrived by road on Monday evening and had a feel of Nkoloma Stadium yesterday afternoon.
