AN 80-YEAR-OLD woman of Lusaka’s Chamba Valley area has sought revocation of her grandson’s appointment as administrator by the Chelstone Local Court saying he lives far and could not effectively undertake the role.

Madlena Muteba, a farmer, told presiding magistrate Mary Namangala she wanted the appointment of her grandson, Frank Sambao, 27, of Chipata district, Eastern Province, revoked because he lived far and could not manage to work as administrator.

“Simbao is my grandson and I want him to vacate the administrator seat because he now lives in Chipata and cannot manage to work while there,” Muteba said.

He son died in 2007 and left behind four children.

Sambao also agreed he was willing to vacate the role because the place where he now lived was far and could not manage to effectively work as an administrator.

The magistrate revoked Sambao’s appointment and advised the family to make arrangements to get someone else appointed in his place from within Lusaka.
