Poor ZESCO service standards

I DO not know what is happening in ZESCO but clearly, something must be very seriously wrong.

A number of households in Mimosa Chilanga have had no electricity supply for 4 days now due to vandalized transformer cables.

And all we have been told by ZESCO Chilanga is that “there are no cables in stock so we are trying to source them from somewhere”.

Can ZESCO countrywide surely have no cables? Transporting cables from any part of Zambia should just take a day to reach Lusaka.

Anyway, that is how low the service standards at ZESCO have fallen.

Let them not even boast about having over 1 million customers on the national grid. They have no capacity to service us.
