A 40-YEAR-OLD teacher of Lusaka has been charged for allegedly stealing over K27, 000 from twelve people in separate incidences.
Humphrey Mwamba who appeared before Principal Resident Magistrate Mwaka Mikalili is facing 12 counts of theft contrary to Section 272 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
In count one is alleged that on unknown date but between September 3, 2018 and November 20, 2018 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K3, 474 cash from Nara Nkoma.
In the second count Mamba is alleged that between the same dates, stole K1, 389.99 cash from Margaret Banda.In count three, , Mwamba stole K694.50 cash from Matilda Mahachi.
In count four, it is alleged that on unknown date but between October 1, and 31, 2018 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K1, 240 cash from Isaac Mapili.
In count five Mwamba is alleged that between the same date Lusaka, stole K694.50 cash from Doreen Chipika.
In count six, it is alleged that on unknown date but between December 3, and 31, 2018 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K1, 300 cash from Prudence Lombe.
In count seven, it is alleged that on unknown date but between October 29, 2018 and January 31, 2019 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K1050 cash from Elasto Banda.
In count eight, it is alleged that on unknown date but between September 3, 2018 and December 31, 2018 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K1, 158.34 cash from Kayombo Mulemba.
In count nine, it is alleged that on unknown date but between September 3, 2018 and November 30, 2018 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K3, 475 cash from Landislaous Phiri.
In count ten, it is alleged that on unknown date but between October 1 2018 and April 30, 2019 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K7, 510.25 cash from Toniada Mbewe.
In count eleven, it is alleged that on unknown date but between September 3, 2018 and December 31, 2018 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K4, 170 cash from Sylvia Chituta.
And in count 12 it is alleged that on unknown date but between September 3, 2018 and December 31, 2018 in Lusaka, Mwamba stole K926.67 cash from Cosmos Bili.
Mr Mikalili allocated the matter to Magistrate Ammie Masoja for plea.
