4 teachers nabbed for exam malpractices

A SCHOOL headteacher at Jiwundu Secondary School in Kalumbila has been arrested for having facilitated leakage of Science paper 1 for grade nine and GCE examinations.

North Western Province Permanent Secretary, Willies Mangimela confirmed the incident and identified the culprit as Dennis Kabwe who was arrested together with three other teachers.

Mr. Mangimela said an envelope containing Science paper 1 written on 2nd August 2019 and several other envelopes were tampered with.

“The province directed the district to institute investigations which revealed that several envelopes were tampered with,

“The investigations pointed to the headteacher and his team of invigilators and supervisors.” Mr. Mangimela said.

Mr. Mangimela has warned teachers and all citizens to desist from such vices of examination malpractices.
