ALL is set for this year’s Southern Africa Inter Munical Sports Association games slated for 22 to 27 September in Lusaka.
Local organizing committee chairperson Smart Mwitwa said preparations have reached an advanced stage with Zimbabwe, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana and Namibia confirming their participation.
Mwitwa said Republication President Edgar Lungu will grace the occasion at Lusaka’s Hero’s stadium.
He said the event would boost the economy because participating teams will lodge in different lodges.
“Preparations for the hosting of Southern African Inter Munical Sports Association games have reached an advanced stage and many countries have confirmed their participation,
“These countries include Zimbabwe, Botswana Swaziland, Namibia and South Africa.
Mwitwa said as chairperson of the tournament, he was happy with progress of the preparations for the event that will be held from 22 to 27 September.
“People are excited and the official opening will be graced by President Edgar Lungu at the National Heroes stadium. This event will boost the economy in terms of tourism and the transport sector,” Mwitwa said
He called on the general public to come out in numbers and support the home team.
