Lusaka’s Chakunkula ward fundraises for school

COMMUNITY of Chakunkula ward has contributed towards the construction of a one by three classroom block at Kapweliyomba Primary School in Munali constituency.

Speaking during the laying of foundation stone of the classroom block on behalf of Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo, area ward councilor Smart Mwitwa the minister said the community has realized government vision for universal child education for all.

Roll out extensive constituency of schools but may be appreciated this commendable and open its doors to partnership.

Mr Lusambo explained that the School will be an example to other Schools on how to keep a school clean and green and implored other head teachers so that they can tap one of your initiatives

He said he is happy that the community came up with an initiative in order to decongest the Kapwelyomba Primary school.

And Lusaka business man Chrispin Chiinda has called on members of the community in Munali constituency to emulate the people behind the construction of Kapweliyomba primary school.

He said  education is important in society hence the need to ensure that children learn in conducive environments so that they feel comfortable whenever they are in a classroom.

“I am calling on the members of the community in Munali constituency to emulate the people behind this event today where we are fundraising for the construction of a one by three classroom block at this school which has educated a number of us in this constituency.

“A situation where pupils sit four of them on a desk should be a thing of the past and I am sure that is one of the reasons why we are here today, “he said.

He further implored parents to promote skills development at a household level and encourage children to be  productive persons in society.
