Kafue Celtic plans ahead

MUKWIMA CHILALA writes

WITH Sunday’s week 29 FAZ Division One Zone One game against Riflemen FC holding their destiny, Kafue Celtic Coach Robert Tembo is very optimistic of beating their opponents.

Tembo said that despite his side remaining with two games before the end of the season, his team was not under any pressure as it had planned well for the games.

He told the Sun sport that that his team was focused on winning the remaining two games to qualify for the National Division One league.

He said that the team was confident owing to the amount of work it had put in the second part of the season compared to the first round.

Tembo noted that having put in so much work in the second part of the season, his team would not let qualification to the national division slip off its hands.

“Looking at the input we have put in for us to reach this far, we planned very well so we won’t let it slip up off our hands. For sure we just have to win our next two games,” he said.

Tembo however described the 2019 transitional league as being a good one for his team.

He said that despite the change in the calendar which saw it play games back to back on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the team adapted with ease.

“We really adapted very easily and it has really helped us to plan for game after game but I think it was challenging and very interesting at the same time,’’ Tembo said. Celtic plays Riflemen tomorrow before wrapping up the season with a tie against Malaiti Rangers next weekend
