Warring sisters reconciled

A CHIBOMBO woman has sued her sister who is dating her former husband and is refusing him to support his child.

Mailesi Mulenga 50 sued her sister Eunice Chisokela,47,of the same compound the Matero Local Court to force her former husband to start supporting his child

The two were appearing before magistrate Miyanda Banda.

Mulenga told the court that Chisokela was dating her former husband who has refused to support his child on instructions from her sister (Chisokela).

“My husband started dating my sister Chisokela, I left him after I found out, when I asked her about it she refused and that was in 2017. In 2014 he admitted to being in a relationship with her saying he was not aware that we were related. I told them to continue and he promised to be supporting his child “.

“He had called me to go and get money for our child after I left I saw her go to the bar where he was and she started shouting at him, he later came to tell me that Chisokela refuses him to talk to me and yet he is married to another woman”.

She decided to sue her because she refused her former husband from support his child, claiming that he was not the child’s biological father.

 “I don’t have a problem with them if they want to get married. I will support them.She should just stop going to my new boyfriend to tell him stories,” said Mulenga”.

In defence Chisokela told the court that she did not know they were married.

“He had two wives then one died and my husband died, he was related to my husband and he approached me saying we should get married and keep the children together,

“”When we started dating I heard Mulenga was in a relationship with him and I asked her if she knew that he was her in-law. She got upset and came to my house to fight but I refused,” she said

The court said it did not entertain issues of boyfriends and girlfriends as it was concerned with proper marital issues.

“You are both old enough to behave properly. Do not interfere with the child support and the court has decided to reconcile the two,” said magistrate Banda
