A EUROPEAN based soccer scout has partnered with the Janza Soccer School of Excellence to identify talented players from across Africa to export to Europe.

UK based professional football scout and talent recruitment manager, Dyson Dzapasi, told The Sun that he has partnered with Janza Soccer Schools of Excellence (JSSE) in Zambia to establish the first professional football talent assessment centre in Southern Africa to draw players from over 12 countries across the whole continent.

Speaking from JSSE’s training base, Bacelona Centre, Dzapasi who founder of PYE Sports Management UK, said that the centre would assess football players technically, physically and mentally for export to Europe.

He said that Africa has abundant soccer talent which is yet to be fully tapped.

‘’We appreciate each other’s skills with Janza. My experience is scouting while Janza’s experience is assessment of players, that’s how the project is set up,’’ he said.

Dzapasi, who is based in West Yorkshire and nicknamed ‘Jomo’, is a former Leeds United Academy scout but has links with other Clubs like Sheffield United, Barnsley FC, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers with whom he has signed some of his players.

‘’I decided to work with the Janza Soccer School, the first international football assessment centre in Africa, to put to an end to parents going through the pain of raising over £3000 to send their children for trials in Europe,’’ he said.

The Janza Soccer School of Excellence is led by Honour Janza, the former Zambian national team coach, and holder of a CAF Licence and the EUFA B Coaching licence from Holland.

Dzapasi has so far facilitated the transfer of international players Benjamin Fringpong, an U-20 Ghanaian; Mthokokozisi Maphosa, a Zimbabwean U-17.
