Marriage not my priority, says woman entrepreneur

I have no interest in getting married to men of today because they are very different from men of olden days, says a 33 year old woman of Lusaka’s Kaunda Square Compound.
Agnes Kakuwe told The Sun, in an interview, that the men of today are more playful as compared to the man of olden days.
Ms. Kakuwe said that the men of today are more interested in the woman’s money more than in herself.
“The idea of getting married is not presently on my mind because it is not an easy to find a serious man nowadays. I am not trying to undermine men but just telling the truth,” she said.
The single mother of one stated that all she wants is to work hard to ensure that her son lives a better life in future.
Ms. Kakuwe, who runs a restaurant at Kaunda Square Stage 1 market, said that despite the business being slow at the area, she still struggles just to ensure that there is “something to take home at the end of the day”.
She said that her dream is to have a bigger restaurant and with a lot of customers in future.
“I would really appreciate if someone or some people would come in to help me financially so that I can grow my business,” she said.
