Harry Kalaba has announced his resignation as Bahati Constituency member of parliament and says he will not re-contest the seat in the resulting by-election.
Mr Kalaba who was expelled from the PF on Saturday says he will now direct his energies towards mobilizing support for his 2021 presidential bid.
He said he has now assumed the presidency of the opposition Democratic Party.
