‘KICK OUT KAMANGA’

MUKWIMA CHILALA writes

FORMER Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) executive committee member Blackwell Siwale says he is ready to forge hands with other prospective candidates to vote out the current FAZ president Andrew Kamanga because he has become unpopular over falling soccer standards in the country.

Speaking in an interview with Sun Sports, Siwale said he was ready to sit down with any interested FAZ presidential candidate and agree on who was the best candidate to remove Kamanga from power.

“It’s not just about me , the moment others come out that they want to stand, I will be ready to sit down and agree in order to save Zambian football from Andrew Kamanga,

“It is not about sour grapes that I’m campaigning to become FAZ president because I was expelled for the mother soccer governing body, but I just want to help salvage falling soccer standards in Zambia,” said Siwale

Siwale charged that he was not bothered about the current FAZ president’s incumbency as he was in touch with the association’s Electoral College at the grassroots level.

He further said it would be easy to remove Kamanga because he had become unpopular due to falling soccer standards in Zambia.

He further said the change of the Electoral College from 204 to 89 would not disadvantage him in any way but instead help in voting the current president out of office.

Siwale said that the current FAZ requirement that members vying for presidency should undergo integrity tests did not worry him, adding that he did not do anything to warrant his expulsion.

Kamanga could not be immediately reached for a comment.
